Shari Goldhagen

After serious pursuits of literature at Northwestern University (BSJ) and The Ohio State University (MFA), Shari Goldhagen went in a different direction and began stalking celebrities for The National Enquirer. It turned out she had a knack for sifting through celebrity trash, and she went on to work as a gossip writer and reporter for publications including Us Weekly, Star, and Life & Style. Her articles on pop culture, travel, and relationships have appeared everywhere—from Cosmopolitan to Penthouse. Shari has received fellowships and grants from both the Yaddo and MacDowell colonies, and is the author of the widely-praised novels Family and Other Accidents (Doubleday) and In Some Other World, Maybe (St. Martin’s Press), and the YA novel 100 Days of Cake (Atheneum).
