Georgia Ede, MD




Georgia Ede, M.D., is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist specializing in nutritional and metabolic psychiatry. Her first book, Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind, is due from Grand Central Balance in January 2024. Her passion is empowering people with psychiatric conditions to reduce or eliminate the need for medications by changing how they eat. She has 18 years of clinical experience in hospitals, community health centers, specialty clinics, and private practices, utilizing medications and psychotherapy to help adults of all ages. She served as a staff psychiatrist and nutrition consultant for seven years at Harvard University Health Services and for five years at Smith College in Western Massachusetts. In 2019 she established a new online video consultation service for individuals, families and fellow clinicians to support people using special diets to treat psychiatric and other medical conditions. In addition to writing all of the content for her popular site www.diagnosisdiet.com, she is a regular contributor to Psychology Today and DietDoctor.com, and speak internationally about nutrition science and mental health.
